There are more than a hundred divinatory arts.
They all have a specific name, often ending with the suffix – mancy -. It refers to the ability to predict, the action of consulting an oracle, and the interpretation of the answer.
Here are the main divination arts:
Arithmancy is divination by numbers.

The dowsing is the divination by the radiations emitted by different matters. The oracle is usually accompanied by a wand (dowsing rod) and / or a pendulum.

There are many other divination techniques. For example, divination by animals (interpretation of their cries, their movements …), divination by food, divination by the dead (by contact with deceased persons), divination by objects (jet of dice) etc…
