The solar beetle.
Khéper, word ‘scarab’ in Egyptian, is used to write the verbs ‘to become’ and ‘to be transformed’. It was also used to appoint the coronation of king ‘Neb-Khéperou-Rê’, the master of the transformations of the sun.
The scarab is very important: it embodies the Solar God who is reborn every morning at dawn: it is a symbol of rebirth for the dead and a protective emblem for the living.
